PACK MEETING CANCELED -:- INCLEMENT WEATHER -:- DAVIS SCHOOL CLOSED

Dear Pack Parents:

Due to the inclement weather, Davis School and all other D303 facilities have been closed for the evening. Due to the closings, we are not able to have our pack meeting this evening.

Den Leaders: please stop by at your convenience so that you may pick up and distribute pinewood derby cars to distribute to the boys in your dens.

At this point, I would anticipate that we will deliver our awards at our January pack meeting, along with the pinewood derby event. Please look for an update from me our next pack leader meeting in early January.

I'm sorry to have to cancel a meeting, but clearly the roads are not safe for travel. Take care, everyone, and enjoy the winter break with your family.

Best regards,

Ken

Webelos Den Meeting: Monday, December 15

Dear Webelos Parents:

Tomorrow (Monday) we will meet with Troop 13 and visit their troop meeting. I'd like to depart from the Davis School parking lot at 6:40 to make it to their meeting in time for their start at 7:00. The troop meeting will likely last until 8:30 or so.

This is a troop meeting without a parent orientation (some of you may recall this from two weeks ago) so I'll be able to transport 6 boys; if our scheduled meeting helper can provide a lift for a couple more boys, we will be covered.

Please help your sons with their scout oath and law practice, and after our final troop visit in January, we will make contacts with scoutmasters for troops for the boys who wish to join a boy scout troop--and complete their Arrow of Light Award.

We will have a pack meeting on Tuesday as well; I'll send out a separate reminder for everyone in the pack later today.

Best always,

Ken

Post meeting review

Dear Webelos Den Parents:

We had a productive meeting tonight, with scouts constructing a couple of pieces of camping gear.

The information on the flyer describes what will serve as our next regular den meeting.

Pack meeting is next week....

Operation cubsicle will take place during winter break, for those who have indicated interest.

Keep the boys working on the scout oath and scout law in preparation for receiving the Arrow of Light award in January.

Best regards,

Ken

Webelos Den Meeting, December 9

Dear Webelos Parents:

We will meet at the Davis School Community room at 6:30 on Tuesday.

We will continue work on our craftsman badge--there are lots of crafts to produce, so we will be working on this for a few more meetings.

Helper: Siarny family

Treats: Kampen family

Upcoming:
Next week we will visit Troop 13's troop meeting on Monday and have our pack meeting on Tuesday.

Long range:
29 December: Operation Cubsicle

6 January: Tuesday den meeting--visit Troop 56. After that visit, the Webelos may decide which troop they would like to join. We will likely award the Arrow of Light badges, once those decisions have been made--and all other requirements are completed--at the January pack meeting. So...be sure your sons can recite the boy scout oath and scout law without any prompting. We will keep practicing at our den meetings

Take care,

Ken
