Webelos Den Updates: January 2008
Dear Webelos Den Parents:
A couple of items down range a bit:
Tuesday, 8 January. Regular Den Meeting, Davis School closed. I'll share meeting information (place and time) in advance of the meeting. For those who are considering the MI trip, please note the deadline date to confirm, per the handout I shared at the pack meeting earlier this month.
Monday, 14 January. One of the program elements of Webelos is to make the transition into Boy Scouting. We've been invited by Troop 46 to attend a presentation their scouts are putting on for cold weather camping. For those who are planning to make the trip to MI, this will be very valuable, but as a good set of skills for general camping, it will be helpful to all the boys. I will share information regarding transportation (and volunteers) the week before the meeting, but I wanted it to get onto your calenders early. This will serve as our "official" meeting for the week.
Tuesday, 15 January. This is our usual meeting day, but Carolyn Shannon, a parent with the pack and community activist, has arranged for a visit to the Kane County Sheriff's office on the 15th, shortly after the school day ends. Carolyn will be making arrangements for this, so please look for an email note from her in the near future.
Wishing you all a holly, jolly Christmas.
Best,
Ken
