6:30 – 7:30 PM

1.	Pack Meeting (27 May) LeRoy Oaks Forest Preserve Please arrive by 6:00 PM for the following program (times estimated, but we will begin promptly at 6:00 PM) · 6:00 – 6:30: Rocket derby · 6:30 – 7:15: Potluck Dinner · 7:15 – 7:30: Award Presentation · 7:30 – 8:15: Investiture of new scouts and advancement to the next level in scouting for continuing Cub Scouts Space Derby · Parents of each child will wind rockets up for launch 75 turns · Simple process: launch four rockets during each heat; race the fastest rocket from each heat against each other; continue until the three fastest rockets have been determined. Pot Luck Meal (Pack Contributions) · Tiger: Dessert · Wolf: Salad · Bear: Side Dish · Webelos: Beverages · The pack will provide hotdogs, buns, condiments, and paper products Advancement material · Please submit advancement needs to Jane Siarny
2.	Summer Activities · 22 June Event: Rocket Olympics. Scott Conover to organize · 20 July Event: Swimming Event. · 17 August Event: Scavenger Hike. Ken King to organize. Cub Day Camp · Patrick Shannon volunteered to coordinate, as he will be present during each day of day camp. We need a minimum of 2 adults each day, and preferably 1 adult for each three youth at camp. 3.	Leadership Needs, 2008+ · Popcorn Chair. Scott will contact candidates Other roles: note the need to transition to new leaders as Webelos II parents move on next February. Key positions to fill: · Advancement Chair—Jane Siarny will be able to mentor new person in this role through February 2009 · Treasurer—Tina King to take over from Phil Corvino · Outings Chair (to coordinate pack camp out each spring and fall). Position currently vacant · Camping Chair (to promote and organize resident camp and day camp participation each summer). Position currently vacant.
4.	Feedback on Scout O Rama · Scouts and leaders who took part reported having a good time and leaving the event tired…but it was a good kind of tired.

A productive meeting, and the ice cream was delicious.
