Webelos Den Update

Dear Webelos Den Parents:

We had a nice visit with Troop 14 last week. The Webelos that were able to attend the meeting saw a very different sort of operation that the previous meeting with Troop 46. Hopefully a few more visits over the next ten months or so will give the boys the information they need to make informed decisions as to which troop best fits their personality.

For the boys that were able to make the visit to the new Hampshire High School, they were very impressed with what goes into the construction of a school. Thanks to Mr. Kerner for his help in implementing this, and our complements to the his skill as an architect.

Hopefully the boys are finishing the pasta bridges that we started at a previous meeting; we will display the finished products at the Blue and Gold Banquet in a few weeks.

Speaking of the Blue and Gold Banquet, if you have not signed up to participate, please let Bonnie Kampen know your intentions, one way or the other, as she is finalizing her plans.

We will be working on the Family Member activity badge over the next four weeks. I will send home a sheet to help your son record the ways in which he helps as a member of his family. If you were looking for a way to have him commit to helping with shopping, laundry, house cleaning and the like, this is the time to make it happen.

Our den meeting will take place at Davis School this week, 6:30 PM. Treats and den help per the the usual schedule.
