August Pack Activity
Who:
Members of Cub Scout Pack 108, parents, and siblings
What:
Pack Activity
Where:
Duerr Forest Preserve, Shelter #2
When:
Sunday, August 17, 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Why:
The outdoor program is at the heart of scouting!
What we will do:
We will take part in a scavenger hunt for interesting things located at Duerr Forest Preserve. We will celebrate our success with the scavenger hunt with ice cream sundaes.
How we will do it:
Please bring a pencil or pen to record what you find on the scavenger hunt, your Cub Scout uniform, and an outer garment appropriate for weather.
Please bring one of your favorite toppings for ice cream. The pack will provide ice cream, spoons, napkins, and bowls.
The Fox Valley Trolley museum runs from South Elgin to the forest preserve. You are welcome to pick up a ticket and take a ride before or after the pack event.
Note:
Areas off of the trail at Duerr Forest Preserve are pretty thick with Poison Ivy. Keeping on the trails/mowed areas makes good sense for all!
Confirmation:
Please let Cubmaster Ken King know if you will participate or not by Friday, August 15.
