Pack Meeting Highlights for March, 2007

• Recognition for your son’s work over the last month
• Reminders and updates regarding camping opportunities for the summer scouting program (local events: http://www.threefirescouncil.org/Camping/cp_cub_scout_summer_camp.htm)

Detailed note: FOS. FOS is “Friends of Scouting” and is the local scout council’s annual fundraiser to support scouting in the community at large. It typically takes about $130-150 dollars per scout per year to support the operation of the service center in St. Charles, the employees who work there, and the various camping properties owned by the local scout council.

A card has been published with your name on it, and while no contribution is expected, all contributions are appreciated by the leadership of the local council. When you receive your card at the start of the meeting, please consider a contribution. At the end of the meeting, a representative from the local council will present briefly on the points above and collect the cards, whether a contribution was offered or not. Recovering the cards at the end of the evening simply provides evidence that everyone had a chance to make a contribution.
